How this site handles data.

An email link opens your email application. Opening the link does not send a message or subscribe you. If you send an email, Nick receives your address, message and attachments through Google Workspace and uses them to answer your request. Do not include credentials or sensitive client data in an initial inquiry.

A resource request does not automatically subscribe you to ongoing updates. Updates require a separate, explicit request. You can withdraw that request by replying to an email or contacting Nick directly.

Subscription and resource requests on this site currently use email links. There is no active website subscription form or automated mailing-list provider.

Vercel hosts the site and provides cookieless traffic analytics, performance measurements and contact-click counts. Page paths, device and browser information, and permitted campaign labels can be processed. Nick does not send email addresses, calculator inputs, full query strings or URL fragments in these analytics events. A click is counted as contact intent, not a completed booking.

The site does not set advertising cookies or use advertising pixels. It does use analytics and temporary browser session storage for campaign attribution. This stores the landing path, referring hostname and campaign labels for the current tab session, without adding a unique visitor identifier. Closing the session clears that storage.

An explicit light or dark appearance choice is saved locally under portfolio-theme until you clear it or choose System. It is not sent to the server. Without a saved choice, appearance follows your operating system.

Hosting and email services process connection information such as IP addresses and technical logs to deliver and protect their services. Cookieless analytics does not mean that no technical data is processed.

Calculators, checklists and configuration tools process their inputs in your browser. The site does not upload those inputs to a server. If you choose to email a result, that information becomes part of your email message.

Booking links open Calendly. Calendly processes the details you choose to submit under its own privacy notice. LinkedIn, GitHub and other external websites also have their own privacy practices; this notice covers nickcerutti.com.

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, processing a service inquiry may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract. Responding to other correspondence, operating and securing the site, and understanding its usefulness rely on legitimate interests, subject to applicable law and your rights. Ongoing email updates rely on your consent; withdrawing it does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Service providers involved are Vercel for hosting and analytics, Google Workspace for correspondence, and Calendly if you make a booking. Information is not sold or shared with advertising networks. Providers may process data in countries other than your own. Contact Nick for information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your request.

Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the request, manage any resulting business relationship, and meet applicable recordkeeping or legal obligations. Ask Nick about deletion of a particular conversation. Browser attribution lasts for the current tab session; hosting logs and analytics follow the provider's retention settings.

Contact Nick to request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent, or object to processing. Restriction and portability rights may also apply depending on your location and the processing involved. Requests are handled within the time limits required by applicable law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Data handled during consulting work is governed by the signed scope, confidentiality terms and any applicable data processing agreement. This website notice does not replace those agreements.
